As Taliban Grounds Planes Out of Afghanistan, Biden Administration Says There’s Little It Can Do – The State Department says there is little it can do to help Americans and at-risk Afghans whose planes are reportedly grounded at an airport as the Taliban prevents them from leaving the country.

At least six chartered planes are attempting to evacuate these Americans and others from Mazar-i-Sharif International Airport, but the Taliban is reportedly preventing them from taking off. Since it evacuated U.S. military forces and diplomatic personnel from the war-torn country, the Biden administration has not had the resources necessary to ensure that flights chartered by nonprofit groups and others can depart Afghanistan. – READ MORE

State Dept blocking private rescue flights from leaving Afghanistan, organizers say: ‘Blood is on their hands’ – Americans engaged in the rescue of U.S. citizens, SIVs and green card holders left behind by President Biden in Afghanistan are horrified by what they describe as inexplicable delays from the State Department that are preventing evacuation flights from leaving the country.

The State Department’s delays are recklessly endangering American lives, three different individuals involved in the private evacuation effort told Fox News. – READ MORE

Report: At Least 500 Americans Stranded in Afghanistan, Contradicting Joe Biden’s Estimates – At least 500 Americans are reportedly stranded in Afghanistan, contradicting President Joe Biden’s estimate of between 100 and 200, according to the Associated Press (AP) on Sunday.

Among those who believe Biden has miscalculated how many Americans remain trapped behind enemy lines includes Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), who told the AP, “the number of U.S. citizens still there and wanting to leave is closer to 500.” And if the family members of those trapped Americans are included, Issa believes the overall “number of people could be as high as 1,000.” – READ MORE

Americans Swimming in Sewage, Trapped Pregnant Women: Marine Recalls Joe Biden’s Botched Afghanistan Pullout – Between Americans being forced to swim through raw sewage and the Taliban blocking pregnant women outside the Kabul airport, President Biden’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan was a living nightmare that is far from over, according to one U.S. Marine who aided in the operation.

Speaking with the Washington Examiner, retired Marine intelligence officer Lt. Col. Jonathon Myers recalled his “exhaustive effort to get American citizens and green card holders connected with Marines ” out of Afghanistan before the August 31 deadline. According to Myers, there was no possible way to pull all Americans out of the country due to the Biden administration’s gross mismanagement. – READ MORE

Associated Press Adds Embarrassing Correction To Article Claiming 70% Of Calls To Mississippi Poison Control Were About Ivermectin Ingestion –  The Associated Press had to issue a correction to an article published in late August that claimed 70% of calls made to the Mississippi Department of Health were from people who had ingested the livestock version of Ivermectin.

The story followed media hyping the idea that people were taking a common horse dewormer to treat COVID-19. Someone, somewhere may have done this, but the media has treated it as if it is a common phenomenon — and have been proven wrong. – READ MORE

Why in the World Is the Government Disrupting the Distribution of Monoclonal Antibodies Now? – After demonizing nearly every medication with the potential to reduce the severity of COVID-19 symptoms, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) finally recommended monoclonal antibodies earlier this summer. Before the official recommendation, some providers used them under an emergency use authorization (EUA) granted by the FDA in November 2020. The FDA just granted an EUA to allow their use for SARS-CoV-2 post-exposure and ongoing prophylaxis. This approval will increase demand.

Recently, the treatment has gotten quite a bit of media coverage. While the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has been promoting the treatment on the Combat Covid website since early summer, one man ensured a nationwide media campaign. Once Florida Governor Ron DeSantis decided to promote outpatient treatment using the antibodies and establish infusion centers, the media reacted because he is a very dangerous Republican. – READ MORE

January 6 Rioter Returned to Jail After Listening to Mike Lindell Online – A judge ordered the rearrest of Doug Jensen, one of the protesters charged with entering the Capitol on January 6, after “pretrial services officers” made an unannounced visit to his home in Des Moines, Iowa, and found him watching an online discussion featuring MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell.

Jensen, who is charged with seven counts, including aggravated assault, obstruction of a law enforcement officer during a civil disorder, unlawfully entering a restricted building while carrying a dangerous weapon, and disorderly conduct, was jailed for six months while he awaited trial. Authorities said he was carrying a knife when he was arrested. – READ MORE

Shooting, murder trends mixed in NYC, Chicago and other major US cities as summer comes to end – On the heels of a summer of fearing that shootings and violence in major cities nationwide would continue their upward trends from earlier in the year, crime statistics in some places remained largely the same, if not decreased, while police officials in others – such as Chicago – continued their pleas for peace amid increasing bloodshed, statistics show.

Experts previously told Fox News that they feared recent shooting and murder upticks would lead to more violent summer months, especially considering the numbers were higher than the previous year even before Memorial Day. An analysis of the crime statistics for some of the major U.S. cities shows the crime statistics were varied – but the overall numbers did not stop police officials from begging the public to stop the bloodshed linked to illegal firearms and gun violence.  – READ MORE

The Electrical Grid Is Becoming Increasingly Vulnerable To Catastrophic Failure – Prolonged blackouts in Louisiana following Hurricane Ida are a reminder the power grid needs to become more resilient as well as reliable if even more services such as electric vehicles are going to depend on it in future.

The electricity system is already directly responsible for providing a wide range of energy services in homes, offices and factories, including space heating, air-conditioning, cooking, refrigeration and power. The grid is also at the heart of a collection of other critical systems, including oil and gas supply, water and sewerage, transport, communications, public safety and healthcare, which cannot function properly without it. – READ MORE
