CDC weighs increasing time between vaccine doses to lower risk of heart inflammation – U.S. health officials are considering new changes to vaccine guidance that would lengthen the amount of time between doses in order to lower the risk of heart inflammation for immunocompromised people.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) told a panel of outside advisers on Friday these proposed changes would apply to the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines. – READ MORE


U.S. Department of Health Stops Requiring Hospitals to Report Coronavirus Deaths to Federal Government – The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) officially stopped requiring hospitals to report coronavirus deaths last Wednesday as the death toll approached 900,000.

Dem. governors in New Jersey, Delaware set to drop in-school mask mandates: We need to get kids ‘back to normal’ – Blue-state governors of both New Jersey and Delaware have set timelines to wrap up in-school mask mandates, according to a Monday report from the New York Times.

100,000 U.S. Deaths Due To Diabetes In 2021, Second Year In A Row – More than 100,000 Americans have died from diabetes for the second year in a row, Reuters reported. The surge in deaths was partly due to missed treatment and diagnosis due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to experts.

“The large number of diabetes deaths for a second year in a row is certainly a cause for alarm,” Dr. Paul Hsu, an epidemiologist at UCLA’s Fielding School of Public Health, told Reuters. “Type 2 diabetes itself is relatively preventable, so it’s even more tragic that so many deaths are occurring.” – READ MORE

Biden Admin To Fund Crack Pipe Distribution To Advance ‘Racial Equity’ – The Biden administration is set to fund the distribution of crack pipes to drug addicts as part of its plan to advance “racial equity.”

The $30 million grant program, which closed applications Monday and will begin in May, will provide funds to nonprofits and local governments to help make drug use safer for addicts. Included in the grant, which is overseen by the Department of Health and Human Services, are funds for “smoking kits/supplies.” A spokesman for the agency told the Washington Free Beacon that these kits will provide pipes for users to smoke crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and “any illicit substance.” – READ MORE
