Biden Vaccine Mandate For Private Employers: Everything You Need To Know – The Biden administration unveiled a sweeping federal labor rule on Thursday, requiring private employers with at least 100 employees to assure that all of their employees are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or submit to regular testing and wear a face mask. The new rule represents a virtually unprecedented government intervention between employers and the people they entrust to carry out their business every day. – READ MORE

The Details of OSHA’s Vaccination Rule for Private Employees Suggest Several Ways It Could Be Vulnerable to Legal Challenges – The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) unveiled its long-awaited vaccine mandate for private employees today. This “emergency temporary standard” (ETS), which the Biden administration first announced two months ago, demands that businesses with 100 or more employees either require them to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or adopt a policy requiring unvaccinated employees to wear face masks and submit to weekly virus testing. Employers must comply with most of the order within 30 days, although they have an additional month to implement the testing requirements.

Some large companies already require vaccination or will welcome the OSHA standard as a justification for doing so. But the rule is bound to provoke lawsuits by some businesses and trade groups, and OSHA’s poor track record in defending prior emergency standards suggests this one may be legally vulnerable. – READ MORE

San Francisco will require children ages 5-11 show proof of vaccine to access businesses – Children of San Francisco: Prepare to keep your vaccination cards close by.

The California city has announced that kids ages 5 to 11 will soon need to show proof they have received the coronavirus vaccine in order to gain access to indoor businesses and activities such as restaurants and gyms.

“We definitely want to wait and make sure that children have an opportunity to get vaccinated,” San Francisco Health Officer Dr. Susan Phillip said Tuesday during a virtual town hall on the city’s YouTube channel. “That will happen no sooner than about eight weeks after the vaccine is available to kids. So there will be a limited time in which there will not be those requirements, but then at some point, 5- to 11-year-olds will also have to show proof of vaccination to access some of those same settings.” – READ MORE

Gretchen Whitmer Admin Allegedly Burned Notes, Destroyed Emails Related To COVID Probe – Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and her administration are being accused of burning notes and destroying emails related to a COVID-19 investigation that was brought about against the City of Port Huron for violating state rules.

The Detroit News reported that Inspector Matthew Hartman of the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) fined the City of Port Huron $6,300 after a July 21 visit due to a complaint. Hartman allegedly fined the city despite the fact that he hadn’t witnessed “anyone not wearing a mask” or “violating” coronavirus rules. – READ MORE

Disgusting Garbage Piles Up In NYC After De Blasio Sent Sanitation Workers Home For Refusing Vaccines – Piles of garbage have already begun to build up in New York City after around 20 percent of sanitation workers were placed on leave by the Mayor’s office for not complying with his vaccine mandate.

It is estimated that almost 1500 workers are now on administrative leave, which has meant that areas of the city are starting to fill up with stinking garbage. – READ MORE

Pentagon Review Recommends No Disciplinary Action After Drone Strike Killed 7 Afghan Kids, Report Says – An independent Pentagon review of a drone strike that killed 10 Afghan civilians, including 7 children, during the final days of the U.S. military’s presence in Afghanistan recommends that no disciplinary action be taken. The review concludes that the incident was not caused by misconduct or negligence.

“The review, done by the Air Force Lt. Gen. Sami Said, found there were breakdowns in communication and in the process of identifying and confirming the target of the bombing,” The Associated Press reported. “But, Said concluded that the mistaken strike happened despite prudent measures to prevent civilian deaths.” – READ MORE

Wharton Study: Build Back Better Will Not Be Free; Net Cost $2.42 Trillion – The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania will reportedly issue a study Wednesday that reveals President Joe Biden’s reconciliation package will not be free, although the White House has claimed it would cost “zero” dollars.

The study reportedly estimates the net cost of the legislation will plague taxpayers with an extra $2.42 trillion in debt. – READ MORE

The U.S. Treasury Is Buying Private App Data to Target and Investigate People – The Treasury Department has in recent months expanded its digital surveillance powers, contracts provided to The Intercept reveal, turning to the controversial firm Babel Street, whose critics say it helps federal investigators buy their way around the Fourth Amendment.

Two contracts obtained via a Freedom of Information Act request and shared with The Intercept by Tech Inquiry, a research and advocacy group, show that over the past four months, the Treasury acquired two powerful new data feeds from Babel Street: one for its sanctions enforcement branch, and one for the Internal Revenue Service. Both feeds enable government use of sensitive data collected by private corporations not subject to due process restrictions. Critics were particularly alarmed that the Treasury acquired access to location and other data harvested from smartphone apps; users are often unaware of how widely apps share such information. – READ MORE

Get Ready For Food Rationing – It was a very strange moment when this week the spokesperson for the president defended inflation as a high-class problem. She explained that higher prices are merely a sign that economic activity is picking up. People are buying things and that’s good. Of course that pushes up prices, she said. Just deal with it.

At this point, the White House will say anything. Truth, facts, morality – these things matter less and less in current-day America. Your misery is an illusion. Losing your job because you don’t want the jab? Hey, that is the price you pay for noncompliance. Expect no sympathy from anyone in charge. – READ MORE
