Pirate Radio Daze Numero Dos…Tea and Crumpets….
While I in no historian by any stretch of imagination, I am a radiophile, having an almost life-long love affair with the proverbial airwaves, and, if truth be told, an unwholesome penchant with underground or “Pirate Radio.”
Many of you, I’m guessing, have seen the movie “The Boat That Rocked,” starring the late Philip Seymour Hoffman. The article below, while it is CAVEAT EMPTOR from Wikipedia, it’s not bad, and it does provide another link in the chain in the legacy of broadcasters who “moon” the government and continue to fly the black flag. Excellent. We need to put a fair amount of effort into looking at how to function during a tyrannical regime.
