Well, surprise surprise! Y’all sitting down? This morning Trish (with a nurse’s help) called me on the phone!!! That was a big step. As the day wore on, and she was seen by myriad doctors, nurses, therapists, lab and respiratory techs, she tired out. And as she tired out, she became more and more confused. But, the doctors feel she is doing better overall, and are moving her out of the ICU, and to a room. The heart failure team said she had gained 27 pounds of fluid weight in less than a week, so they have their work cut out for them, but they are aggressively pursuing it. Lots of delicate balances to be considered as they try to get Trish on a medicine regimen that doesn’t conflict with other medications. She still has a long way to go, but there are lights on the horizon. Love y’all!

Dana and Trish – Please excuse the typos that are bound to follow but my shitty typing skills are compounded by my tears of joy! I realize that much healing must ensue, I am neither a holy woman, mystic, or overly optimistic person… but as I focused my energy on dear Trish, I could only see her getting well… perhaps because SIR DANA, her handsome and valiant PRINCE had been there to fight the demons and dunces of the medical bureaucracy to save his FAIR MAIDEN’S life… and that there are many good people who can work wonders when they get their heads out of the “nether eyes”* and work together for the patient! The brain is a complex organ which is still poorly understood by many in the medical profession. They understand it from the POV of materialistic science… but there is so much more. Just listening to Dr Eben Alexander’s Living in a Conscience Universe.” Fellow Painiac Wonwaymel introduced me to this neurosurgeon’s experiences as a coma patient and as a physician – scientist. Will keep my focus on both of you, envisioning a your positive journey together, focusing my art – consciousness, prayers, and love to add to the light that will illuminate your path. You are in my ♥️.

Great news! Trish, you are a trouper! And it’s thanks to Dana (not the Docs all now trying to take credit) that you are out of the ICU – Imagine (well, I guess we don’t have to imagine), Trish being blown up like a water balloon, and they didn’t want to do anything – that’s how things go, when no one there knows what the fuck they are doing! Dana, what would have happened if you were not there? Every balloon has it’s limit. Try to stay sane.

Praise God! Small victories mean so much. Take care of yourself, too. Give her our very best!!

I guess the “Men in Black” Stooges episode worked wonders! 🤣🙏

Thoughts on healing: as a thoughtful monk once said: stop worrying about yourself and concentrate on the happiness of others.

Today Trish was sitting in a chair out by the nurse’s station this morning when I got to the hospital. We had a really good time; perhaps too good of a time, because as soon as they got her back into bed, Trish crashed. But I reckon that falls under the category of “good tired.” I didn’t get to update yesterday, because I crashed. I sat down to watch the Braves and the Phillies playoff, and missed the entire game, which is probably a good thing, as I hate watching my team lose. I’m going to put a big cardboard sign around my neck saying, “I AM NOT A ZOMBIE,” so no one hits me in the head with a hatchet thinking I’m from The Walking Dead. But all in all, today was the most hopeful day so far. Again, thank y’all so much for standing with us and propping us up throughout this ordeal.
