Texans Face Calls For Water, Energy Conservation –  As Texas experiences a record-shattering heat wave, residents are being asked to conserve not only energy, but now water.

”We’re seeing a stress on our system because of peak demands with peak weather conditions. We are enduring a long, hot, dry summer,” said Wayne Larson, the director of communications for the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD). “The forecast doesn’t seem like it will change. Durbin: Climate ‘Emergency’ Is ‘More Important Than’ Current Economy, Inflation – On Tuesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The Beat,” Senate Majority Whip Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) responded to Sen. Joe Manchin’s (D-WV) inflation concerns on climate legislation by stating that climate is “an emergency” that “We have to do everything that we can” about, and this is “more important than any current economic statistics” like inflation.

Bidenflation Pushes Diesel Prices Sky-High, Smashing Farmers, Truckers, and Consumers – Diesel fuel is a staple for the farmers and truckers who supply Americans with their essential needs – and its price has skyrocketed in recent months, driven by inflation to far outstrip regular gasoline in price hikes.

AP reports diesel fuel was averaging $5.52 a gallon nationally Tuesday — up a dizzying 68 percent from a year ago, when it was selling for just $3.28. By comparison, a gallon of regular gasoline is averaging $4.50, up 42 percent from a year ago. – READ MORE

Skittles Allegedly “Unfit For Human Consumption,” Lawsuit Claims – Bloomberg Law reports a new lawsuit filed in California claims that Skittles contain a dangerous toxin called “titanium dioxide,” rendering the candy “unfit for human consumption.”

On Thursday, plaintiff Jenile Thames filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of California against Skittles-maker Mars Inc., alleging consumers who “taste the rainbow” of sugar “are at heightened risk of a host of health effects for which they were unaware stemming from genotoxicity – the ability of a chemical substance to change DNA.” – READ MORE


Google Maps Users Troll Biden With Mocking Landmark Where He Fell Off Bike –Snopes noted Tuesday that Google Maps allows user to create their own public landmarks, meaning the site was created by a user to troll Biden.

The Washington Examiner noted that as of Tuesday morning, the landmark had a 4.9-star rating on Google Maps, from more than 200 reviews. “Very nice place to ride a bike,” one of the reviews reads, via Washington Examiner. “Just be careful not to cause too much inflation in your tires or you can end up crashing your whole bike into the ground. Anthony Fauci: ‘I’m Not Going to Retire’ but ‘May Step Down from My Current Position’ – Dr. Anthony Fauci clarified Tuesday that he will not retire from working, though he may step down from his current position in the federal government at “some time.”
