The Real Cost Of Inflation For Most Americans – The June inflation figure of 9.1 percent, up half a percentage point from last month and the highest since 1981, doesn’t tell half the story of how expensive life has become for Americans. The overall figure hides the fact that not all prices have risen uniformly and that products that have become especially expensive also happen to be the ones people usually can’t do without, such as food, fuel, and energy, according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) data published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).

Among foodstuffs, margarine and eggs prices hiked the most over the 12 months ending June, up over 34 and 33 percent respectively. Trailing behind were butter (up over 21 percent), flour (up over 19 percent), and chicken (more than 18 percent). Milk and coffee were up about 16 percent. – READ MORE

Food Banks Seeing Flood Of Families Despite Low Unemployment – Despite US unemployment approaching multi-decade lows, food banks across the country are working overtime as inflation has forced many to turn to charity in order to feed their families.

As overall CPI has soared to a 40-year high of 9.1%, skyrocketing food and energy prices in particular are squeezing tapped-out consumers, along with rapidly rising rents and an end to federal COVID-19 relief. – READ MORE

The Corporate Layoffs Have Started And Leftist Big Tech Is Leading The Pack –There are two major forces at work within the US economy today that pull in different directions but end up in the same place: These forces are price inflation caused by central bank stimulus along with supply chain instability and recession triggered by rising interest rates. Immense corporate and consumer debt also play a role, but this ties in directly with the interest rate issue.

In other words, we are looking at a classic stagflationary scenario amplified by years of fiat dollar printing by the Federal Reserve. The only element that has been missing is rising unemployment, until now. – READ MORE

Democrat Senator Throws Another Wrench Into Biden’s Agenda. Biden Is Not Pleased. – Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) announced opposition to key elements of a Democratic economic package — prompting an aggressive Friday statement from President Joe Biden.

Two sources told CNN that Manchin — even after months of negotiations with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) — will “unequivocally” refuse to support Democratic legislation related to climate change and tax increases in an economic package. Biden responded by vowing to take action of his own. – READ MORE

Most Top Biden Officials Have 0 Years Of Business Experience – The Biden administration is led by lawyers, academics, and community organizers — but few business leaders, a report from the Committee to Unleash Prosperity recently revealed.

According to the conservative think tank, the top 68 individuals in the administration have spent an average of 2.4 years in the business world, with only one in eight boasting “extensive business experience.” The median length of business experience for Biden officials is zero years. – READ MORE

The baby-formula shortage is getting … worse? – A White House website didn’t solve it. Airlift flights from Europe didn’t fix it. Chilling Video: Ranchers Line Up for Miles, Forced to Sell Cattle as TX Dries Up –Hope shrivels day by day in west Texas as ranchers facing a drought are selling cattle out of desperation while fearing that the worst is yet to come.

Drought conditions are impacting 97 percent of the state according to Drought Monitor. Although farmers can, in theory, bring in hay from other areas to feed cattle, sky-high energy costs make it too expensive to transport hay. And so they are reducing the herds, according to Local Profile, which wrote, “Last week, USDA meteorologist Brad Rippey reported that 80 percent of Texas’ pastures were in either poor to very poor conditions.” – READ MORE

Gardening Is a Hedge Against Supply Chain Disruptions – The first tomato you grow yourself will probably be the most expensive one you ever eat. The same is true of peppers, zucchini, carrots, and any other crops you raise. While costs do go down as you gain expertise and reuse tools and materials, your initial gardening efforts will be less a means of saving money than a commitment to a hobby. But it’s a rewarding hobby that builds skills, drives you a bit nuts, and offers you the means in uncertain times of supplying yourself and your neighbors with your favorite fruits, vegetables, and herbs.

Supply came home to me as an issue when there were no garlic bulbs to be found at the market. “The whole shipment came in rotten,” the produce manager told me. “It looked like it sat too long someplace.” – READ MORE

The Feds Pile Up Vaccine ‘Adverse Event’ Reports As They Decry Scaremongering Elsewhere – Since the Food and Drug Administration authorized the first vaccines for COVID-19 in late 2020, the government and much of the media have insisted that the medicines developed in record time are safe and effective. Those who raised questions about them have been routinely dismissed as conspiracy theorists.

And yet an online database co-administered by the FDA and the Centers for Disease Control has compiled more than 1.3 million reports of vaccine-implicated “adverse events” running the gamut from mild to severe, including 29,000 deaths. – READ MORE
