Biden appears to fall asleep during climate speech despite claiming it’s ‘greatest threat’ to U.S. security – Presidents — they’re just like us: Social media erupted on Monday when a viral video appeared to show President Biden dozing off during opening speeches at the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference.

The 78-year-old Biden – who warned military servicemembers this summer that top Pentagon officials consider climate change to be the “greatest threat” to America’s national security in the coming years – sat with his arms crossed, appearing to drift in and out of sleep, in video shared by Washington Post reporter Zach Purser Brown. – READ MORE

Judge halts Chicago’s vaccine mandate deadline, sides with police union – An Illinois judge granted a temporary restraining order blocking a vaccine mandate for employees of Chicago, and siding with the Chicago Fraternal Order of Police.

Cook County Judge Raymond Mitchell issued a written decision Monday that the city can still place police officers on no-pay status for not abiding by the city’s directive to report their vaccination status by Oct. 15. The order, however, blocks the city from firing members of the FOP for not meeting a Dec. 31 deadline of vaccination until the FOP’s arguments are heard by an arbitrator. – READ MORE

CDC Adds Poor Mental Health To List Of Factors That Could Cause COVID-19 – Hoping to convince Americans to get vaccinated whether they like it or not, the Democrats have warned the general public of the many at-risk people for COVID-19. When the virus first started to spread, the White House and even the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warned that the coronavirus was going to be the worst for the elderly. Again, hoping that people would feel guilty and get vaccinated. Now, knowing that many are still reluctant, the CDC has yet again updated the growing list of illnesses that could lead to COVID-19. And it should come as no surprise it is an illness that affects 1 in 5 people.

Releasing their new guidelines, the CDC added poor mental health as a leading factor to getting COVID-19. The guidelines read, “Having mood disorders, including depression, and schizophrenia spectrum disorders can make you more likely to get severely ill from COVID-19.” – READ MORE

Report: Welfare Is Encouraging Able-Bodied Men To Stay ‘Voluntarily’ Out Of Work – A new analysis argues that government welfare policies encourage able-bodied men to opt out of the labor force.

Many point to weak wage growth, technological change, or international trade as potential explanations for the low labor force participation rate among young men — which has dropped from 97% in 1955 to 89% in 2020. However, Republicans on the Joint Economic Committee argue in their “Reconnecting Americans to the Benefits of Work” report that a significant share of the young men who receive handouts from the government are “voluntarily disconnected” from work – READ MORE

Three Ways Government Spending Is Ripping Us Off – For many decades the United States and almost every other country in the world have been haunted by fiscal deficits; however, normal people do not seem to realize how it can affect their lives and their well-being.
