White House Taunts Texas and Florida for Fighting Vaccine Mandates: Joe Biden Will Override State Laws – The White House on Tuesday warned Republican governors of Texas and Florida that President Joe Biden would override their efforts to fight coronavirus vaccine mandates in their states.

“We know that federal law overrides state law,” she said referring to state attempts to ban vaccine passports. – READ MORE


FDA Responds To Nordic Countries Suspending Moderna COVID Vaccine Usage –The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) responded to Nordic countries limiting the use of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine last week, saying the shot’s benefits outweigh the risks.

Health officials in Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Iceland suspended the use of the Moderna vaccine for younger people due to a risk of side effects including myocarditis. Sweden said it would pause the vaccine for people under the age of 30, and Denmark did the same for those under 18. Finland said that males under the age 30 shouldn’t receive the jab, while Icelandic officials added over the weekend that they would suspend use of the shot. – READ MORE


Amid Already ‘Catastrophic Shortages,’ Oregon Nurses Get Ready to Walk Over Forced Covid Vaccines – In August, Oregon Governor Kate Brown ordered all state employees and health care workers to get a Covid shot by October 18 or lose their jobs. Thinking she was done and dusted with the issue, the woman, who always has men with guns flanking her, couldn’t countenance anyone defying her.

Indeed, some of her own men with guns in the Oregon State Police troopers are suing Brown over forced vaccines. Brown apparently didn’t bank on lawsuits, sickouts, and blowback from real people who either don’t want, trust, or need the shot. – READ MORE


911 System In Jeopardy As First Responders Reject Jab – The American Ambulance Association (AAA) warned House and Senate leaders the “nation’s EMS system is facing a crippling workforce shortage, a long-term problem that has been building for more than a decade. It threatens to undermine our emergency 9-1-1 infrastructure and deserves urgent attention by Congress.”

Brooklyn Nets Ban Kyrie Irving From Playing Until He Gets Covid-19 Vaccine – The Brooklyn Nets have banned 29-year-old Kyrie Irving from both games and practice until he gets the Covid-19 vaccine, just one week before the team kicks off their regular season against the Bucks.

The star point and shooting guard will even be barred from playing during away games – the vast majority which will be held in locations where there is no local vaccine mandate. The Nets said they won’t allow Irving to be deemed “part-time” in terms of his availability for games. – READ MORE


Labor Dept. Report: Record 4.3 Million Workers Quit Their Jobs In August – On Tuesday, the Labor Department reported that a record 4.3 million workers quit their jobs in August, the highest level in over 20 years.

“Employment vacancies fell to 10.4 million during the month, a drop of 659,000 from July’s upwardly revised 11.1 million, according to the Labor Department’s JOLTS report,” CNBC reported. “The decline was well short of market expectations for 10.96 million job postings. … The job posting rate as a percentage of the workforce fell to 6.6% in August from 7% in July.” – READ MORE


Raising Cane’s Sending Large Portion of Corporate Employees to Work in Restaurants as Fry Cooks and Cashiers – Fast-food chain Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is sending a significant number of its corporate employees to work as cashiers and fry cooks amid labor shortages.

Of the company’s 750 total corporate employees, 250 will work as fry cooks and cashiers while another 250 will move from marketing and training positions into restaurant jobs and recruiting positions, according to CNN. – READ MORE


Report: 80,000 Shipping Containers Stuck at Savannah Port – Eighty thousand shipping containers are stuck at the Port of Savannah – a full 50 percent more than normal, the New York Times reported Sunday.

Steal containers are just awaiting either trucks or carry them to warehouses or ships to take them to another port, the Times reported. But like Savannah, other ports are also full. As a result, “some 700 containers have been left at the port, on the banks of the Savannah River, by their owners for a month or more.” – READ MORE


Report: Supply Chain Crisis Will Damage U.S. Economy Until 2023 – Coresight Research Founder and CEO Deborah Weinswig told Yahoo Finance Live on Tuesday the supply chain crisis will continue throughout 2022 and into 2023.

“Let’s look at the math: It’s 14 days to get a container from APAC to the U.S. and 40 days for it to get back,” Weinswig said. “And we have a complete container misalignment right now. So that’s 80 days, we’re talking, in our opinion — we’re probably looking at Q1 2023 before all of those containers get back and realign.” – READ MORE


Supply Chain Crunch: WH Admits ‘There Will Be Things You Can’t Get’ at Christmas – The Biden White House on Tuesday warned in an interview with Reuters that “there will be things you can’t get” for Christmas as the U.S. continues to face supply chain issues.

Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) has long claimed he will shutter the jail and build prisons in New York City neighborhoods to house inmates.
