For those of you who haven’t gotten acquainted with me, I’m Dana Acker from Mt. Airy, NC (North West NC on the Virginia border). Mt. Airy was the birth place of Andy Griffith and the inspiration for the fictional town of “Mayberry.” So essentially I live in a fictional town. I’m a semi-retired commercial wine maker and distiller. I also have a blacksmith shop and make hand forged custom knives. I’m a native North Carolinian, born and bred. I also am the proprietor of the Green Dragon Tavern group on Paine.TV groups. I hope you’ll introduce yourself and whereabouts in the state you live. You can share as much or as little about yourself as you are comfortable with. Any relevant State news or goings on would be appreciated.

Another reason several of us wanted to create local Paine communities, is that if things ever really go sideways in this country for any reason, having a network of like-minded people within driving distance of each other might prove very handy. It would be good to know that if anything goes wrong that we’ve got friends. I’ve got about four people in my immediate orbit who have not been jabbed, and who don’t think me insane for not getting jabbed. Most of the people around me don’t see the political and geopolitical landscape (hellscape) the way I do. There are people in my orbit who love Biden, and people who cannot see that Trump is not the messiah. It would be nice to be able to crack open a cold one, or share a meal, or do some trading once in a while with like-minded folks, who don’t think I don tinfoil at night and talk to Elvis.
