  Who’s Running the Asylum…?

  NOTE: This was originally posted on the Response/Comment section of today’s video cast/podcast, but I figured it might make decent grist for the mill here at the Tavern. In speaking this weekend with “Conservative” friends (Trump’s coming back, Fox News, TikTok and YouTube “pundit” followers, [not “True Pundit”]), the big news was that the Democrats’ October Surprise is going to be the indictment of Donald Trump. According to them, Hunter Biden is going to be indicted (the Justice Dept. can no longer look the other way) and to down play it, they’ll indict Trump for January 6. In the meantime, they’re touting Dick Morris’ new book, “The Return: Trump’s Big 2024 Comeback.” It’s a four and a half star best seller on Amazon. I tried to counter with the protection racket fact, but I might as well have been speaking Mandarin. Mike, you nailed it when you said you don’t believe in both sides of the aisle. Looking at the Democrats and Republicans for more than five minutes and you cannot escape the feeling that they’re ALL certifiably insane. Our problems aren’t liberal or conservative; they stem from allowing dangerously psychotic people to get into office and set public policy. VM said “…somebody poisoned the well.” He was/is right, but the well wasn’t poisoned with just Covid; they also threw in some Jimson Weed and PCP, and now they’re ALL as crazy as a baboon on acid. “Whom the gods destroy, they first make mad….” Don’t know who said it, and I’m not polytheistic, but the underlying principle seems to be coming true. Keep your powder dry, Brothers and Sisters….
