The Long Game….
Posted by Dana Acker on November 10, 2022 at 12:16 amHey there Taverneers, initially I posted this over on Dustin’s podcast page, but felt it might prove good grist for the old mill here at the Tavern, so to speak. But…I seem to remember younger days and talk of the “Illuminati.” Next to JFK’s assassination, the Illuminati was the second most popular “conspiracy theory” of our day. Yes, there were UFO’s and Aliens, Black Helicopters, and the like, but it was like the Illuminati was over and in some way behind them all, even JFK. These were rich and powerful Europeans back around the 1700’s, who followed Lucifer, and set plans in motion to take over the world. Now all the above is from neither thesis nor dissertation, hence no documentation. They are the reminiscences of a fellow who’s been “down the pike” more than a few times under many moons. So while that’s not a scholarly appraisal of the history of the Illuminati, it’s probably not far off from the truth. If my history is found to be all to hell, well…it was a conspiracy theory after all…or was it? The problem for my contemporaries and me at the time, was disbelief in the notion that a group can found itself, support itself, and perpetuate itself over centuries of the shifting sands of time and geography; always waiting for that proper moment in time when their schemes and dreams would finally come to fruition. I mean, who waits that long? Listening to Dustin continually “peel the myriad layers of the onion” so to speak, has given me several pieces of our puzzle that we just could neither see nor research adequately at the time (this being rural NC, pre-worldwide web.) Whether or not the Illuminati is/was really real back in the day, or even now, there are those satanists, technocrats, transhumanists, Illuminatists, Nazis, Stalinists, whatever one would like to label them, that really do embrace the long game. Their determination over so long of a time, knowing they would never live to see it happen, still gave of their time, money and life-long endeavor in its cause. We who call ourselves Christians could take a page from their playbook. Rather than sitting around counting the days til the Lord returns, we would do well to work on an oppression resistant infrastructure and networking system with other believers, should He not return as soon as most might hope. We need our own version of a perhaps more localized and modernized “Underground Railroad.” What think ye…?

You are so smart Dana beyond my wildest imagination please when you figure this out share with me what train to board. Appreciate all you share

Thanks Debbie. Not sure how smart I am, I tend to think of it more as “even a blind pig finds an acorn every now and then.”😉

I think the best possible action going forward is for states held hostage by the vote in large urban centers to secede and create a new state. They would get reps of their own in congress and be rid of the negative city influence at the state level. It’s crazy to look at the New York and PA maps and understand that all those people in the red zone are held captive by the inmates in the blue areas. Don’t know if we have a long game at this point. Too much willful ignorance to overcome. Wish I could be more positive but the last 2 years and the subsequent reaction of the voting public make me think our neighbors are willing to be steaks on the table by choice and consent.
-
We just have to make our circles tighter. We teach those who are teachable, and “…strengthen the things that remain.” Revelation 3:2
-
Dana I think our best opportunity will be during a time of great suffering. We should be prepared to teach without ever uttering I told you so and pushing people away. At some point, we need to address the fact that these WEF’ers are not going to be satisfied with leaving us alone.
-
I believe you are right. We’ve had it easy in this country until fairly recently. I don’t think we are getting any more free passes. The problem has been going on since the beginning; it’s just here, now, and it’s picked enough steam to rear its ugly head. We in this country are not sheep; we’re the frog in the pan of water gradually heating, and we don’t realize how hot the water really is. You know the ending of that story….
-
Our job is trying to get the frogs out of the water….
-
Frogs is correct. The water is heating up (jabs) and every subsequent jab raises the BTU’s applied to that water. Those who are not jabbed were smart enough to not get in the pot.

Hi, Dana!
Although Dustin kept the focus on the political, giving example after example of the difficulty and perhaps impossibility of restoring the republic, our battles in the spiritual realm will be just as difficult. We are to take comfort in knowing Jesus, and us, win in the end. The people on earth, and entities in the spiritual realm, are beyond evil. They are so patient as to wait hundreds of years, as well as millennium, to accomplish their goals. Although victory is not to be theirs, they will be content with just destroying and taking as many of God’s children with them to eternal suffering. The lost souls will be beyond numerous that it will be impossible to count.
So many Christians have become too content & too lazy to fight for God’s kingdom. Teaching the false doctrine of “once saved always saved” damaged, almost fatally, the Lord’s kingdom here on earth. So many now think that defending it isn’t necessary because I’m going to heaven no matter the outcome. That was such a smart, successful attack of Satan’s (and his winged monkeys’)rendering the church unable and unwilling to defend and fight for His kingdom.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 6:12

Hi, Dana!
Although in a recent podcast Dustin kept the focus on the political, giving example after example of the difficulty and perhaps impossibility of restoring the republic, our battles in the spiritual realm will be just as difficult.
That was such a smart, successful attack on the church by Satan (and his winged monkeys )that it rendered so many churches unable and unwilling to defend and fight for His kingdom. Unless our spiritual health and our relationship with Jesus are strong, we’re in for a protracted and weary battle with many, many casualties.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenlypla places.

Sorry for the double posting! It was my first posting here (So do I get newbie immunity?), and I thought the first one failed. ( I got a fatal error warning. )

I think our battle will be “protracted and weary with many casualties” no matter what. We in the US have been given many passes, and I fear those days are drawing to a end. We know that evil will “seem” to prevail before the Day of the LORD, long foretold by the Prophets and Apostles. Paul wrote, “ …Therefore we ourselves boast about you in the churches of God for your STEADFASTNESS and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions that you are ENDURING. This is the evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering—since indeed God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you, and to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His might, when He comes ON THAT DAY to be glorified in His saints, and to be marveled at among all who believed, because our testimony to you was believed.” 1st Thessalonians 1: 4–10. Another factor in which we find comfort is that Daniel and Ezekiel were both written while the Hebrews were in exile, in the captivity of the evil Babylonians. No matter what befalls our nation, or us, God will make a way for His faithful people. Remember Daniel 3, when threatened with being burned alive for not bowing to Nebuchadnezzar’s statue, the three Hebrew children answered, “…our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.” Daniel 3: 17–18. That must be our stance. Remember too, when Nebuchadnezzar looked in the furnace in which he threw the three, he saw four in the furnace. v. 25.

As Mike points out, people are being fooled by the best grifters in the world. Propaganda is such a powerful force. We do need to show compassion for the people that were honestly taken in by this and help them. I was thinking to myself this morning that there are a lot of lawns and wasted space around subdivisions that could be converted to gardens by those of us with the equipment and know-how. There’s still a lot of potential to help people feed themselves when times get tough.
-
You know, most of humanity has farmed and fed their families and neighbors with wooden, stone, and iron farm implements for most of man’s history. No Toto-tillers or small lawn tractors. Just whatever was at hand and a lot of grit. To convert a lawn into a garden would be work; but it’s good work, and it would foster thankfulness when you eat that first meal from the garden. And according to the Apostle Paul in his Epistle to the Romans, not being thankful is one of the defining and initiating factors of humanity’s descent into darkness.

I’ve been thinking that for two years now, the problem in my area is so few Christians even are aware of what’s happening!!!!
-
It’s amazing how many Christians don’t even read their Bibles, much less understand it. Many pastors preach to keep their people ignorant—good for job security, but not good for the Kingdom of God as it is manifested on earth. We, like Esau have traded our birthright for a bowl of cereal. Great commission? What’s that? The Church in America would do well to study Revelation chapters 2 and 3, the letters to the 7 churches, and, take them to heart. Me thinks Jesus would prefer our reading verses dealing with obedience, rather than ones dealing with the “rapture.”
-
I think you are right on target, Dana. I follow/listen to Coach Dave Daubenmire (Pass the Salt Ministry) every weekday morning and he’s been ranting about the Pastors not doing their jobs – according to the Bible! – for more than a few years now – even louder just recently. And rightly so!
-
A close friend was a Marine and a Navy chaplain that recently retired from that to go into a civilian church. He had difficulty though finding a church that really wanted to hear the Word. I think it’s both a chicken and egg problem
-
Our Pastor’s planned retirement was in 2020. After 33 years he was preparing us for new leadership and what was to come. Then Covid hit. It did quite a number on us. The new pastor (32) came in as Covid restrictions did not allow us to meet. There was a split in the congregation and many have yet to return (like my parents.) Satan uses everything to keep the Word from being preached. Our new Pastor has held firm to the Word. He is big on learning scripture and reading from the Bible so you know he is preaching from God’s Word. Good luck to your friend Postman. The Word is still wanted. He will find where God wants him!! God uses those who listen and actually those who don’t. lol To him be the glory and the praise!! Jesus is my absolute favorite person to talk about!! 😍🙌

We belong to a small home church. A group of believers, based on the Bible, a lot of prayer, and reliance on the Holy Spirit for guidance. I sat in pews in both Methodist and Presbyterian churches for decades and never felt closer to God than I have in the last few months with my home church family. Just like every other institution, we need to break away from these large denominational churches that are infiltrated with wokeness and get back to basics. All you need is a Bible, a good friend to pray with, and reliance on God.
-
Personally I believe your home church is the model for the church today. It’s about time to stick a fork in the big, denominational church model; it’s about done. It’s outlived it’s usefulness and God given sense of purpose. It’s really saddeningly interesting how people who claim to believe and trust in the God of the Bible, get so invested in modern politics in hopes of saving the country. They hope Trump comes back and the Republicans will restore righteousness to our land. “Woe to those who are at ease in Zion.”
-
Totally agree. Politicians are not Jesus. Only Jesus can save us.
-
A lot of them frame Trump as a ‘Cyrus’ who funded some important restoration work. Cyrus though, like Trump, was not a good and kind person. He was overall quite wicked and did things for his own agenda. This is why you should read history and not just the Bible. Also putting all that up on Trump or anyone else is IDOLATRY and will bite your butt right quick as far as keeping personal spiritual power.
I agree on the value of home churches, but to attain the level of community impact and persecution needed to get the larger things done it has to scale up. So far, no one has done this ‘right’ and it turns into a deadnomination. The model of the wilderness journey, with a small group of top level leaders, placed and empowered by God AND tribe and family smaller groups resolving smaller conflicts and helping each other AND the PERSONAL accountability of leaving your tent each morning and observing for yourself the direction of the day, seems to be the wisest to me.
People want to either boss everyone else or be told what to do so they have no accountability for low level living. Good thing we are not here to have it done right. We are here to serve and love and learn and forgive and suffer. Can’t do that in heaven.
-
-
-
I agree, but we cannot leave the others unacknowledged! The phrase “do not be deceived” is mentioned in the Bible many times, and it not concerning obedience!!! Without knowing the enemies schemes many will be deceived!!

You are 100% correct, Dana. The people I know are stockpiling not just for themselves, but others who might need food down the line. The homesteader groups I am in also partner with others in surrounding counties. The conference I will attend in Henryville, IN next spring is led by a homesteading preacher. He said he plans to have gardens on his church grounds for people to be able to have a place to raise food. Self sufficiency has a much greater chance for success when everyone is working together as a network.
-
Yes, to the degree we can, we should throw in a 2nd bag of beans or rice every time we buy food. One for us, and one for an emergency pantry fo those in need. We become our own food banks.
-
Yes!! Bottom line – it’s up to us. There is no one coming to save us. Thank you for your very astute insight and thoughts.

Since we’re talking food and farming, check out “Loosehead Tony’s” site The Grumpy Ginger, here on Paine.TV groups. Tony is a real farmer, and very knowledgeable. I recommend checking in with him. Let’s give his site some traction. He’s got a lot to share.

The church used to do education and medicine and food assistance and shelter for the poor and ran orphanages and adoption services and care for unwed mothers. People wanted to get all this in a ‘God free, no accountability venue’ and persecuted people and churches faithfully doing it.
Medical care and surgery used to be very affordable and caring and doing what is best for the patient and family.
Weakness of character, greed and wanting to enjoy more leisure and less public service led them to cede this to government.
This had as much or more societal impact as watered down messages.
My hope and joy is that the systems are being crashed and the sincere church and devout Christians will rise up and fix things.
If you want to see a lot of miracles, if you want to have great faith and answered prayers, you MUST live in a situation that opens those opportunities.
Days of Noah times, Ark of Jesus and ‘greater works than these’ response. Heaven is totally up for it!!-
Half of the hospitals were named Baptist Hospital, or Presbyterian Hospital, or Methodist Hospital, Episcopal Hospital etc. Major Christian denominations actually built and supported hospitals. The Catholic hospitals most often took care of the indigent. BUT, in the late 70’s or early 80’s, they mostly sold out to for-profit corporations. Medicine was then administrated by people with MBA’s instead of doctors. Treatment of the sick stopped being about caring for people, and was based on corporate bottom line.
-
Exactly. Aside from surgery and life extension measures, a lot of good medicine can be practiced very locally and affordably.

I would suggest there are many parallels here (see video below), but it’s also not an all together separate animal in the larger scope of things.
My father , an Electronics Engineer with the Department of Defense – Army – was a devout anti-communist (and but a Nixon loving republican too btw) used to read much about the Russian Bolshevik Revolution when I was young – and the one thing I recall him emphasizing above all else was how the Revolution was 100 years in the making before it rose to the prominence and actual of changes in Governance.
Back in grade school for me in the late 70’s and early 80’s when they actually taught a few things – the book Animal Farm was required reading, and we were taught the meaning of terms like “incrementalism”
