Mike said on the podcast today, “There are some things that aren’t about money.” The following I posted on the podcast comments, but figured I’d post it here as well, as it’s harder, for some reason, to get conversations going there. So here goes: If you have a million dollars in Government Digital Currency, will you really have a million dollars? What if you find yourself on the wrong side of things? ZAP! ATM says “Card Declined.” Do not forget that Obama had every business that had “Patriot” in their company name audited by the IRS. Any more it doesn’t take much to become the enemy, Brothers and Sisters. Might ought to do like Mike says, and keep some cash on hand. For instance, a couple of months ago I went to buy some food with my bank card, and it was declined. We tried the chip, we swiped the magnetic stripe, and finally the clerk actually typed in the card number…nothing doing. So I had some cash on me, so I was able to eat. I couldn’t believe the card was declined. Then I went to an ATM machine and the card was declined again. It was over a weekend, so the banks were closed. Monday morning I was at the bank when it opened, and upon inquiring about my balance associated with the declined card, I found out that I had more than enough money required to pay for my food a couple of days past. When I asked why my card was rejected, a too cheerful for a Monday morning bank teller told me that there was a glitch in their computer system that handled bank and credit cards, and was shut down for a few days, but was all better now. But my point is, our personal economics are very fragile. One minute you’ve got money and the means to access it, and then the next minute it can go away due to the shenanigans of either idiots or thieves…or power wielding (“jack booted thugs.”) What do you do when you pull up to the gas pump and it won’t take your card? What if that gas pump is another town or state? What if you have no cash? I read Biden’s official mandate to create and implement a US digital currency in a couple of years. So far I have not read or heard anywhere that Trump has rescinded said mandate. What happens when the government takes control of the means of production and the money? As we’ve discussed here previously, the government has been working feverishly to try and eradicate…what? Bird Flu? No, the American small farmer. They want to control food production. Ask a farmer. Again, what happens when the government takes control of the means of production and the money? You start calling everyone “Comrade” that’s what. So my Comrades, “time for my boot heels to be wandering.” Love y’all. Peace.

This situation is why I carry both a backup credit card and some cash. Just call me risk averse 😉. But the lesson of the Canadian Trucker protest was not lost on me. As it was “Justin Castro” was able to persuade banks to freeze accounts of contributors to the convoy, but if they had a CBDC fully implemented there would be no such thing as people with cash and they would not be able to buy food. Likely they would also be able to shut off your phone, electric, gas and water as well, since those could also be tied into their wet dream of a digital monetary system. Even if you believe that the intention of the people working to implement such a system have only the best of intentions this is far too much power to entrust any government with. If they possess that power they WILL use it for nefarious political purposes at some point

The British Government is reputed to have a gold coin sewn into the linings of all their military pilots’ flight jackets. That way, should a pilot be shot down in enemy controlled territory, they would have some universal money with which to barter and or bribe. I think our Government gives our military pilots cyanide tablets in the event of being shot down. By the way did Trump/Musk ever disclose whether there was any gold to be found in Ft. Knox?

Mike said it in 2023, and 2024, watch the money in your bank accounts. Bank account holders are effectively unsecured debt holders on the banks balance sheet.

I took heed and minimized my bank holdings. For that matter, any digital form of money, stock, bond and mutual fund accounts included, are subject to the electric switch being flipped.

There are too many things I have done as a result of the show and Hot Wire that are priceless compared to my investment of time and money. This particular thing almost approaches the jab warning in April 2020.

I spent this past weekend in the downtown St. Louis area. We took some cash with. Paid for a couple of things on the way in cash but didn’t really get a breakdown of the bigger bills. The hotel, the ballpark and almost every place we went to was cashless.

So. What ended up happening is we didnt end up tipping anyone at the hotel because we weren’t going to tip with a larger bill and we couldn’t easily get the bills that we did have broken.

I had an economics professor who used to warn of the dangers of central banking and fiat currency. He said our money system worked, only because when you paid someone with a dollar, the recipient of said dollar “believed” the paper bill was worth a dollar, when, in fact Federal Reserve Notes were a financial instrument representing the debt. We chalk up national debt, and the Federal Reserve “buys” that debt with Federal Reserve Notes that they print. Since our money is a note representing debt, it is actually worth less than the denomination on the bill itself. It’s a system that is artificial and destined to fail. The only thing that holds it together is the belief that it works. Every President who has taken the USA off of central banking has been assassinated (Lincoln, JFK) or has had an attempt on his life (Andrew Jackson).

You know, Confederate money is actually worth more today than it’s equivalent in Federal Reserve money. That should tell everybody something….

You can bet your ass that Carney had a hand in that.
