Dear Dana,
You both have been & will continue to be included in prayer🙏 . To advocate for Trishs’ rehabilitation, perhaps craft a letter to the President and/or CEO recounting her care to this point, being crystal clear about their missteps in a cordial but ‘on notice’ manner will help garner the proper attention & resolution. Also, it would be a ‘shame’ if you are made to go to the local press about <insert hospital name here> rationing care to our elderly, talk about ‘human interest story’ – although perhaps you’d want to keep that one in your back pocket for now. Please let me know how I can assist if possible – research, editing the letter whatever. You are a warrior Dana with a soul of love, please get rest & a good meal when you can. Sending all that is good to you & Trish🤗 -
So sorry you and Trish are going through all of this heartache. Do everything possible to resist going to a nursing home and I pray you find a hospital that will help Trish or a therapy facility that can give her the needed therapy. I have friends in Winston Salem who I can check with to find out if they have any ideas and I will pass them on. I know there is a national organization and there is a local chapter in NC that can possibly lead you in right direction. Here’s the link:
Keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers🙏🏻

So sorry to hear the latest. I have to say that whatever happens, you are going to have to do your homework…case in point, my uncle was in a “rehab facility” where after a while, he was just languishing. He was moved to an excellent nursing home where he has continued therapy and they are on TOP of everything, and I do mean everything and the staff is super…so, my point is, just be aware that whatever happens, when dealing w/this kind of situation, offense is the key. Best of luck and more importantly, praying for you both.
