Some days you wake up and it’s the same day all over again. I haven’t been around of late, because I’ve been in all but mortal combat with the hospital. They have determined that Trish’s brain injury is such that she is too cognitively and physically impaired to be transferred to an intensive therapy facility. Therefore they are planning to, sometime in the near future, transfer her to a nursing home, which would provide almost no therapy, and supply only minimal, subpar medical treatment. We are resisting on both medical and moral grounds, and we are seeing what legal options we may have available to help Trish in this struggle. Tomorrow I’m going try and track down Trish’s social worker, and see if they can intercede on her behalf to keep her in the hospital until her brain heals enough to allow her more intensive therapy. Today I messaged her chief cardiologist, who has treated her for heart failure threats even at this hospital stay for help. The hospital has dropped the ball several times since her surgery, even to the jeopardizing of Trish’s life. We ask medical questions and get 20 different answers, none matching. I don’t want to play either the malpractice or attorney card unless I have to, but we are nearing our wit’s end here. Prayers or advice coveted.

Dana, so disheartening to hear that yours and Trish’s struggle against this what seems to be apathy and incompetence is still going on. Still, after the last three years where they literally got away with murder (at least they have so far) it’s all we can expect. Keeping you both in mind.

Man, I had just replied to that beautiful post about you two listening to music, just to read this next. Wow, these people are something else. What kind of evil are we dealing with here!? I am incredibly sorry you two are dealing with this. After everything… now they pull this! I will be praying for you two. She is VERY blessed to have such a great husband and advocate like you Dana! She is in good hands! Keep pressing brother and keep Trish keep holding on to Jesus… He has you right in the palm of His hand! I pray for the fastest healing known to man! That she wakes up 90% better tomorrow! In Jesus’ Name!

I’d like to suggest acquiring medical reports especially heart & neurological. Sorry to hear about situation I’ll be praying for you both. I’ve seen conflicting opinions in a similar situation. Hang tough.

Dana, you & Trish hang in there & know you have so many rooting for you! I pray the hospital social workers will come to their senses & realize she won’t thrive in a nursing home. I pray you find a different medical center that can continue her therapy the right way🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼Blessings to you🧡🧡🧡
