Normally I do not recommend much on TV, network or cable because it’s all garbage, but this is Shark Week! This is (in my opinion) better than all the sports playoffs put together. Mainly no matter how strong, fast, and/or talented the best athlete might be, thrown in the ocean with an 18 foot Great White on the prowl, said potential hall of fame athlete is just chum. I heard once, that sharks would not eat politicians out of professional courtesy. If the Discovery Channel would let me produce one of their Shark Week episodes, my “scientific” experiment would basically be throwing politicians from both parties into a pack of man eaters to see if the professional courtesy theory is true. Or which, if any, party do sharks like the best/worst. I mean, “trust the science,” that’s what we were told, right? I would say throw Fauci in, but that might be considered cruelty to animals. By the way, my son can captain the boat…just sayin’…. Oh yeah, Mista Bronco can set the odds.

It’s pretty bad when giant flesh ripping monsters are more preferable to watch than politicians. Sharks attack because of hunger and instinct; politicians attack out of greed and lust for power.

Hmmm… a synchronicity? Funny, yesterday Thomas Sheridan reported that Great White sharks have been sighted off the coast of Ireland. While several species of shark live in the Irish waters, Great Whites are generally found in more southernly locals… they live in warmer waters I believe. So are the waters off Ireland getting warmer? From what I’ve read I believe they’ve been having cool weather. But I digress.

I fully endorse your proposal for a “shark week episode.” Let me know if zi can be of help with experimental design… no wait… I forgot that with “Da COVID” Fauci et al, threw out the requirement for well-designed studies… so I guess we should just start tossin’ !

Oh my God, I love this. My kids and I used to watch shark week every year. They loved it. I remember the megalodon spoof documentary that we were so bought into until we realized it was a total farce. I love watching the shows and learning about sharks. I am absolutely terrified of sharks, btw. I was in middle school when jaws came out and I refused to swim in our neighbor’s black bottom pool at night because I was afraid of jaws! ha ha,Thanks for bringing back some fun memories

It would make for a brilliant movie or digital token digital coin for gaming. My nephew made a killing selling them. No idea how it works but people spend on that type thing. I’m looking for my Shark Week hat. I’ve always dug the Sharknado movie. Good reminder to watch for the wake or fin, they come in shallow….meanwhile I’m working on working on handheld gigging light.

It’s still fun. A couple of years ago I bought my son a Megalodon tooth for Christmas. It was harvested about 45 miles off the Wilmington, NC coast, which is strange to think about. One of the recurring shark experts on Shark Week lost his right hand and right leg in one bite from a Bull Shark when diving for the Australian Navy. Sharks are sleek and beautiful, but they’re still just as scary as they ever were.

We were hanging out yesterday and my buddy quizzed the grand children on under water dinosaurs and the little one said they were megaladon. I’m pretty sure my Shark Week favorite hat was borrowed by son from another mother. He has a way of clipping favorite hats.
