By Which Distraction Should We Be Distracted…?
Haven’t heard much regarding the Trump or Biden criminal investigations of late; just little unimportant snippets that keep the subjects in self induced comas. They’re there somewhere, but no more exciting than the weekend news. Hunter Biden eeks out a legal complaint or maneuver every once in a while, but is hardly attention worthy, and is as interesting as reading coupons for a store at which you do not shop. Enter Russell Brand, a godsend to distraction mongers, worried about how to get the attention of burned out Biden/Trump distractees. Mr. Brand will cause much salivation and angst, and, draw the attention away from how those “who would be king” are planning to infringe upon our liberties, steal our money, and scare us to death with the next round of Covid or some other new deadly plague of the day. I’ve said it before, there’s a reason magicians have a pretty girl in a bathing suit assisting them. All attention is on the pretty girl, and consequently the actual trick with which the magician is fooling us, goes unnoticed. While the graphic of Russell Brand in a bathing suit is something no one needs, still he serves the same purpose. And when his sexual/legal woes become old hat, there will probably be a new groundbreaking development in either the Trump or Biden cases…that will go nowhere. Skulduggery is always afoot; it never sleeps. Watch the magician and neither the pretty girl nor Russell Brand.

If any who happen by this discussion just really can’t stand to be without Biden/Trump distraction, Sean Hannity is keeping the flame burning, although with wet wood, so there’s more smoke than fire. He quite frequently trots out John Solomon and Gregg Jarrett, who always have breaking evidences which will exonerate Trump and imprison the Bidens…which as titillating as it seems, will never happen. MAGA-porn….

Given the choice of Hannity, Solomon and Jarret narrating a Trump trilogy or hot forks on my eyes, get me the forks. I do sense we are in the eye of a brewing storm (not the Q-op kind). The banal dullness of “news”, the lying by omission nature of all reporting (not journalism, no longer exists) and the flagrant grandstanding of a rogues gallery of characters (Dick Tracy would roll over in his grave) is deafening. That silence is what concerns me.

Speaking of hot forks in the eyes, I’m reminded of Michael O’Donoghue of early SNL fame. He used to come out on stage and do imitations of celebrities sticking 10 inch knitting needles in their eyes, which mostly consisted of said celebrities rolling around the stage screaming in agony. TV talk show host Mike Douglas, and musical group Tony Orlando and Dawn are the two I remember the most.

Nothing really substantive lately. Fluff fluff fluff. Saving both stories to ramp up for when there is the economy and/or banking “collapse”? idk. But yeah, kind of quiet.
