I would suggest there are many parallels here (see video below), but it’s also not an all together separate animal in the larger scope of things.

My father , an Electronics Engineer with the Department of Defense – Army – was a devout anti-communist (and but a Nixon loving republican too btw) used to read much about the Russian Bolshevik Revolution when I was young – and the one thing I recall him emphasizing above all else was how the Revolution was 100 years in the making before it rose to the prominence and actual of changes in Governance.

Back in grade school for me in the late 70’s and early 80’s when they actually taught a few things – the book Animal Farm was required reading, and we were taught the meaning of terms like “incrementalism”
