Hey there! Most of y’all probably know me from the Green Dragon Tavern site. For those of you who don’t, my name is Dana, and I’ve been dealing with prostate cancer since 2019. I underwent Cryotherapy, which seemed to help, but two years later the cancer returned. Since the Cryotherapy, I’ve taken no medical treatments, electing instead to try several natural therapies, which we can discuss if anyone would like. I’m no medical professional, just a guy in the trenches trying to overcome. I can’t offer medical advice, but I’m willing to share what I’ve learned. I wanted to create this site for people who are dealing with any type of cancer, have dealt with any type of cancer and come out on the other side, or are supporting a loved one facing cancer. We all face uncertainty differently. There’s no judgment here, whether your approach is all natural or traditional medicine. We all have something to share, and we all have something to learn. The important thing is that no one should have to go through this struggle by themselves. Encourage, complain, unload, share info; we’re in this together. One other thing; there are debilitating diseases other than cancer. This is not an exclusive site. If you’re struggling; locked in the fight against ANYTHING that threatens your or a loved one’s health, make yourself at home. We’re about overcoming all things that threaten your wellbeing on any front. We’re here for you too. Welcome, fellow travelers!

Happy to be here! Not my journey, but my daughter’s. She’s too young for breast cancer. She scoffed at my pleas for her to get a mammogram, finally got one to get me off her back. Double-vacksed & 1 boost. Nearly every single duct in her left breast had a tiny, pinhead-sized tumor. Total mastectomy June 1, now in 4 mos of chemo, then reconstruction.
Long row to hoe, but we will do it.
She’s had a tough life. Followed home off the school bus at 14, dragged into a vacant lot & raped.
Bad marriage. Home invasion, rufied at a bar & followed home; after 6 hrs nearly died. Got 3 STDs, and some brain damage from strangulation hypoxia (they liked their women unconscious). They got one of them. He got life with parole after 25 yrs. First offense.
She got back on track, moved back here, got a great job with a great boss, and now this. Her BF is her high school sweetheart & they adore each other.
Both very lib/prog Dems, but that’s ok.
So far so good with the chemo, she is following drs orders (Sloan-Kettering) which include NO supplements or vitamins of any kind as they say the tumor cells will thrive with them.
Life continues.

UpinCT-Reading all your daughter has been through made my heart heavy😭. Seems to me she is a fighter/survivor. I’m so glad that you are there to support her. Keep us posted and be assured that you have a community here that is rooting for her. What is her name so I can include her in my prayers? 🙏🏼
