Board Members Of Nation’s 2nd-Largest Public School District ‘Leaning Toward’ Student Vax Mandate: Report – Students ages 12 and older enrolled in the nation’s second-largest public school district could soon be subject to mandatory vaccinations.

As the Los Angeles Times reported on Wednesday, five of the seven Los Angeles Board of Education members “appear at least to be leaning toward” requiring eligible students be vaccinated against COVID-19. The article said “a clear majority…either favor or lean toward” implementing a new policy. – READ MORE

Report: More than 200 Seattle Police Officers Face Firing over Vaccine Mandate –Seattle, Washington, a city already ravaged by the “Defund the Police” movement, could lose at least 200 more officers over the city’s Chinese coronavirus vaccine mandate.

The officers face termination “because they’ve either not received the jab or would refuse to hand over their private medical data,” according to a report cited by Fox News on Tuesday. – READ MORE

Third Person Dies In Japan After Receiving Tainted Moderna Vaccine – A 49-year-old man has become the third person to die in Japan after receiving the Moderna vaccine from a contaminated batch.

According to The Guardian, the man had his second Moderna shot on August 11 and died the next day. Authorities were careful not to declare a causal link, while the health ministry said on Monday that his only known allergy was to buckwheat. – READ MORE

ACLU denounced pandemic mandates before COVID-19 – The American Civil Liberties Union published an op-ed in support of vaccine mandates, taking the position that the mandates actually “further civil liberties,” despite having publicly opposed such mandates before the coronavirus pandemic.

“Far from compromising them, vaccine mandates actually further civil liberties,” the ACLU posted on Twitter last week along with a New York Times op-ed written by two of the organization’s senior lawyers. “They protect the most vulnerable, people with disabilities and fragile immune systems, children too young to be vaccinated, and communities of color hit hard by the disease.” – READ MORE

The CDC Just Made an Orwellian Change to the Definition of ‘Vaccine’ and ‘Vaccination’ – For your entire life, you’ve known that when you get vaccinated, you’re protected from a particular disease. You’ve probably been vaccinated for such diseases as polio, tetanus, measles, diphtheria, and others, and you no longer have to worry about them, because the whole reason your parents took you to the doctor to get those shots was to protect you from those diseases. Polio, in particular, has been completely wiped out in the United States thanks to the immunity created by vaccination.

This is why the CDC says that vaccines provide immunity, which means that we can be exposed to a disease without becoming infected by it. – READ MORE

Record 11 Million Jobs Available As Americans Shrug Off Returning To Work – The number of job openings in the U.S. jumped to 10.9 million in July, according to Department of Labor data released Friday.

The total number of unfilled jobs available set a record again, topping the 10.2 million jobs open at the end of June. The glut of open jobs comes as employers open businesses back up after widespread government-mandated and pandemic-induced shutdowns. – READ MORE

Denver park to close temporarily after human waste, needles found; challenges reached ‘tipping point’ – Denver will temporarily shut down its Civic Center Park beginning next week to address unsanitary conditions and environmental and safety concerns after the discovery of human waste, discarded needles and other items in the area, officials said Tuesday.

“The current challenges within Civic Center Park have reached a tipping point, creating conditions that put the public’s health and safety at risk. This cannot and will not be allowed to continue,” Denver Mayor Michael Hancock said in a news release announcing the closure. – READ MORE

Report: Joe Manchin Will Only Support $1 Trillion of Biden’s $3.5 Trillion Spending Bill –After publicly urging Democrats to put a “pause” on President Joe Biden’s $3.5 trillion spending bill, Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) has reportedly said in private he will only support a $1 trillion price tag.

“Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.V.) has privately warned the White House and congressional leaders that he has specific policy concerns with President Biden’s $3.5 trillion social spending dream — and he’ll support as little as $1 trillion of it,” reported Axios on Tuesday hours after President Biden expressed hope that he can reach a deal with the senator. – READ MORE

Americans Are Souring on Mask Mandates and Warrantless Surveillance: Poll – The share of Americans who support mask mandates is down 20 percentage points since last December, according to a new Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll. A slight majority still favor mandates, with 17 percent saying they somewhat support them and 38 professing strong support. But this is down from an overwhelming majority of 75 percent support in December 2020.

Meanwhile, the percentage of poll respondents who are somewhat or strongly opposed climbed 15 percent to 27 percent, with 17 percent now strongly opposed. Some 18 percent of respondents now and 11 percent then said they neither favor nor oppose mask mandates. – READ MORE

Biden’s Total Financial Surveillance – Imagine living in a world where every one of your noncash financial transactions—a restaurant meal, a Venmo transfer to a friend, maybe some bitcoin bought on the dips—was automatically reported to a beefed-up, audit-hungry IRS.

That dystopia will become a reality if President Joe Biden gets his way. Biden, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, and key Capitol Hill allies such as Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D–Mass.) are pushing a vast, intrusive financial surveillance system in the name of closing the “tax gap.” – READ MORE
