In trading floor Hoot and Holler style @mike telegraphing through the fading and static of the SS ponzi scheme by dumping ice water on the propagandized American Scheme of retirement.
“Who can make a final death bed? The Candy Man can!” Lol @mike i liked that song at the end of the show. You should make AI music videos for Iran lol
I took my soc early at 62 for all the reasons Mike outlined. Figured I’d bank it early. Now that I’m 65 they started deducting around $225 a month for Medicare. I currently have health insurance through my husband’s employer and don’t need Medicare. Thought I could just opt out for now and have it deducted at a later date when I do need it. Not so simple. Sure, you can opt out for now. However you will pay a higher monthly premium when you add it back on and pay a penalty for every year you didn’t have Medicare coverage. Sometimes I think I would have been better off NOT taking SS at all. It’s a screw job every which way.
Here in Canada we contribute to Canadian Pension Plan (CPP). The maximum you contribute is roughly $700 a month and your employer matches that so that is $ 8400 a year. $ 8400 x 12 months @10% interest compounded monthly for 40 years is $ 4,089,555 . Now in return at 65 you receive $1306 a month or $15678 a year. You can take it at 60 but are penalized 35%, 7% a year prior to 65. So even if you start collecting at 65 and live till 95 that is only $470,340. And when you die their is a survivor benefit and one time payout of $5000 maximum. That would mean $ 3,619.215 stays in that pension plan, now that is motherfuckin criminal !!!! Forgot to mention as of 2026 people who earn over $74,600 up to $ 85,000 pay an additional 4% to their plan !!! ERRRRRR
Both my husband and I started collecting SS at 65 figuring it would go away at some point. Stay away from those garbage advantage programs and stayed with Medicare. If you go off Medicare to advantage plan you might not be able to switch back to basic Medicare. We will never get all the money we put in. Hope those eligible now for SS claim it now. Your info is good Mike! Thieving government
Excellent, thank you Mike. Now calculate the 3.2% YEARLY of eroded purchasing power that you’d need to just to keep even with ‘inflation’ so 2026 dollars purchase less that 2025 dollars, if I’m making sense. Charles Ponzi would blush at what these criminals have gotten away with!
So true! The COLA increase is a bigger joke.
Despite all the Israel involvement in getting Graham & other republicans (including Trump) elected, I expected a more upbeat show regarding the mid-terms since REAL anti-Israel candidates in Maine, NJ and the CA mayoral race (Nithya Raman) have won their democratic primaries. NYC already has a true anti-Israel mayor, so things are definitely looking up, right?
The players with the d’s on their uniforms want to take us to socialism/communism while the players with the r’s on their uniforms want to take us to totalitarianism – I don’t like either option. And at the end of the week the players from both teams line up at the exact same window to pick up their paychecks…and then go out to the same bars to yuk it up and gladhand each other on a successful week.
Dirty Deeds SSA:
What happens if I work and get Social Security retirement benefits?
January 2, 2026 · En español · Share
You can get Social Security retirement benefits and work at the same time. However, if you are younger than full retirement age and make more than the yearly earnings limit, we will reduce your benefits. Starting with the month you reach full retirement age, we will not reduce your benefits no matter how much you earn.
We use the following earnings limits to reduce your benefits:
If you are under full retirement age for the entire year, we deduct $1 from your benefit payments for every $2 you earn above the annual limit.
For 2026 that limit is $24,480.
In the year you reach full retirement age, we deduct $1 in benefits for every $3 you earn above a different limit, but we only count earnings before the month you reach your full retirement age.
If you will reach full retirement age in 2026, the limit on your earnings for the months before full retirement age is $65,160.
Starting with the month you reach full retirement age, you can get your benefits with no limit on your earnings.
With the crumbs the elites left me to invest I averaged 35 percent return. If I was able to use the wealth I paid into the BS Govt system I could have had multiple millions.
67 started awhile ago. My official retirement was at 67. I took early retirement at 65. You can’t make any actuarial table work to entice working to 67 unless you love what you do. I did, I loved what I did, moving all sorts of commerce around the world.
Insurance is a key. I paid COBRA for 6 months until i qualified for Medicare. That was a wallop to the ledger.
What I have found is that what I thought I needed to live, not having working expenses, is much less than what I expected. I have cheep habits. The SS covers expenses plus.
I would have had to live to 95 to break even on waiting to 67.
Don’t look back. ..
