Highly Pathogenic Avian Flu Detected In Five More US States – An outbreak of the deadly strain of bird flu is quickly spreading across the U.S. The risk to humans is low, but bird flu could wreak havoc in the nation’s poultry industry ahead of Easter.

Survey: One-Third of Americans Say They Have Had to Cut Groceries to Afford Gas –Over one-third of Americans say they have had to cut groceries in order to afford gas as prices skyrocket in the second year of Biden’s presidency, a Quinnipiac University survey released this week found.

Gas prices have skyrocketed throughout President Biden’s time in office. As of Thursday, the national gas price average stood at $4.225 per gallon, although some parts of the country are seeing prices well over $6.00 per gallon. – READ MORE

U.K. sleepwalking into food crisis as fresh produce set to vanish from supermarkets – The National Farmers’ Union has warned the UK is sleepwalking into a food security crisis. Soaring energy and fertilizer costs have led to an unprecedented situation where growers’ margins have collapsed, forcing many to halt growing operations.

Reuters says because of the inclement weather in the UK. Farmers grow cumbers, plant peppers, aubergines, and tomatoes in vast greenhouses. Supermarkets Allowed to Begin Rationing, Says Spain’s Socialist Government – The socialist government of Spain has introduced new laws allowing for the supermarkets to ration food and other items as a part of its “Response Plan” to the economic fallout from the war in Ukraine.

Amid soaring inflation, which hit nearly 10 per cent in March, the Spanish government, controlled by the leftist Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has opened up a legal loophole for supermarkets to begin rationing to customers. – READ MORE

German Man, 60, Vaccinated Up to 90 Times to Sell Passes to Anti-Vaxers – A 60-year-old man allegedly had himself vaccinated against COVID-19 dozens of times in Germany in order to sell forged vaccination cards with real vaccine batch numbers to people not wanting to get vaccinated themselves.

The man from the eastern Germany city of Magdeburg, whose name was not released in line with German privacy rules, is said to have received up to 90 shots against COVID-19 at vaccination centres in the eastern state of Saxony for months until criminal police caught him earlier this month, the German news agency dpa reported Sunday. – READ MORE
