Ghislaine Maxwell: Accuser Likely Won’t Testify Again If There’s A Retrial
Ghislaine Maxwell, the alleged former madam of the late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, got some very good news this week when it was reported that at least one of her accusers likely won’t testify for a second time if there is a retrial because she simply can’t “go through it again.”
“A lot of the trauma resurfaced for her, and all these women,” said one source close to the case, according to The New York Post. “It took so much for them to do it the first time, I think reliving it would be too much to bear. The whole situation is just very unfortunate.”
Maxwell, 60, was convicted at the end of last month on five out of six charges related to her allegedly grooming young girls for sex with Epstein, and sometimes participating in the abuse herself. She is facing 65 years in prison, with her sentencing date scheduled for June 28.
However, Maxwell’s lawyers are currently fighting for her to be given a retrial after juror Scotty David revealed that he had been a victim of childhood sexual abuse, something that he did not disclose during jury selection. He openly boasted to reporters after the verdict that he had used his history of sexual abuse to sway his fellow jurors during deliberations.- READ MORE
